I originally posted this on my main page on 9/12... the day after 9/11. I eventually moved it here rather than deleting it, to make sure I never forget.

In honor of the many people who lost their lives in acts of terrorism today, and the many more who died trying to save them. You and your families have my thoughts and prayers.

In honor of how much that day changed the world, we must never forget those we lost, and always be vigilant. That day will always be burned into my life... ten years later we are still dealing with the horrors of terrorism. Today, I not only honor the innocent lives who died that day, but the many others since who have put their lives on the line, some who have died, to fight against such fanatics.

Liberty is a complex and difficult thing, but worth fighting for.
