The Characters of Dork Tower
Matt McLimore / Elrond Hubbard (Elf Ranger)
Matt is Mud Bay's everyman gamer... friendly, unassuming,
and a little insecure, Matt is a simple guy who loves gaming. He tries to make a living as a
graphical artist, but is currently unemployed. Matt's love life is even more frustrating... after
an endless lack of dates, he had the bad timing to get back together with his old girlfriend
Kayleigh Hardcastle (who hates his nerdy hobbies and friends) just before he met the perfect girl:
the eternally perky Gilly Woods.
In Warhamster, Matt plays Elrond Hubbard, an Elf Ranger
skilled at both archery and minor spellcasting.
Igor Olman / Topdeck (Drawf Warrior)
To Igor, anything worth doing is worth overdoing. He throws
himself into every new game, comic, craze, hobby and pastime with an overwhelming enthusiasm that
has made him the official poster boy for Reckless Abandon. Igor is the übernerd of Mud Bay, living
by the motto "IT MUST BE MINE!"
In Warhamster, Igor plays Topdeck the Dwarf, the purest
(and most reckless) warrior of the Mud Bay gaming community.
Ken Mills / Brother Zark (Human Cleric)
Ken is a thinking man's fanboy. He's the respectable Dork
of Mud Bay, making a good living in the IT Department of a local tech company, and provides the voice
of reason to the gaming group. He's recently started dating Sujata, a friend of Kayleigh's.
In Warhamster, Ken plays Brother Zark, a Human Cleric
skilled at non-edged weapons and spiritual spells.
Carson the Muskrat / Lumpin Lightfingers (Muskrat Thief)
Sweet-natured and easygoing, Carson is everyone's friend
and seems to fit in everywhere... which is somewhat surprising in itself because Carson is a muskrat.
He works part time at the local Internet cafe.
In Warhamster, Carson plays Lumpin Lightfingers, a
thief skilled in finding traps and secret passages. Lumpin is good at stealth attacks using small
handheld or thrown weapons. He also often seems to find a bit more gold than the other characters....
Gilly Woods the Perky Goth / Laeoretha (Human Witch)
Gilly Woods is Goth by design and perky by nature, a
combination which is a constant embarrassment to her brother Walden, the Dark Lord of Mud Bay's Goth
community. Though unemployed, dateless, and wearing dark clothing, she always manages to be happy and
optimistic. She recently met Matt, who she thinks she might like, but since he's dating someone, she
hasn't thought too much about it.
In Warhamster, Gilly plays Laeoretha, a magic user
skilled in spellcasting, if not weapons.
Kayleigh Hardcastle / Amazona (Human Warrior)
Kayleigh is prim, sensible, conservative... the perfect
"Lifestyles" reporter for the local paper. She recently moved back to Mud Bay, and once again started
dating Matt, despite the fact that she can't understand any of his hobbies and is horrified by his dorky
friends. Nonetheless, she's decided to give gaming a chance, and though she finds it all very silly, it
turns out that she is very good at Warhamster.
In Warhamster, Kayleigh plays Amazona, a highly
intelligent human warrior with some minor thief skills in finding traps and secret doors.
Bill Blyden / ? (Human Paladin)
As the ever-suffering proprietor of Pegasaurus Games, Bill
Blyden has the thankless and often daunting task of catering to the far-flung fannish whims of the Mud
Bay gaming community. Like most merchants who pursue this sort of market, Bill walks the line between
satisfaction at meeting the needs of his eager customers and chagrin at the fact that his store is
always in the middle of every fanboy controversy and difference of opinion.
In Warhamster, Bill plays ?, a Human Paladin skilled in weapon combat as well as minor spiritual spells.
Sujata ? / ? (?)
Sujata is a friend of Kayleigh's, the shoulder Kayleigh used
to complain about Matt and his dorky hobbies. When Sujata met Ken Mills, though, they hit it off and
began dating. Ken has since introduced Sujata to the joys of gaming, which seemed like a good idea
until Sujata started beating him at every game they play....
In Warhamster, Sujata plays ?
Walden Woods / Sith (Lord Vampire)
Walden may be Gilly's older brother, but he gets his sense of
identity from his position as Dark Lord of Mud Bay's Goth community. Filled with angst and constantly
embarrassed at his sister's perky outlook, Walden is happiest ranting about the poor treatment Goths get
in modern society.
In Warhamster, Walden plays Lord Sith, a Vampire skilled at stealth combat and a few dark spiritual
spells.
